Why Savaria?

It is an important choice when you buy a lift or elevator. As a homeowner, it may be a once in a lifetime purchase. As a professional, you want to choose a product and a company that delights your client. At Savaria, we understand that, and we work hard to uphold our company values every day.

With thousands of installations around the world, Savaria has a rich history of reliable products. We sell our products through an extensive dealer network in North America, and direct stores in select markets.

At Savaria, we are always innovating.

We look for ways to design products that offer useful features and longevity for products. We are a publicly traded company with a solid financial structure and many of our dealers have worked with us for decades.

As a growing global leader, we have one of the largest product portfolios in our industry serving both commercial and residential needs with stairlifts, wheelchair lifts, home elevators, panoramic glass home elevators, commercial accessibility elevators and dumbwaiters and material lifts.

Marcel Bourassa

Executive Chairman

Savaria was founded in 1979 and was purchased by Marcel Bourassa in 1989. He saw a future in products that would help an aging population and set out to grow the company to meet those needs.

"When I bought this small business, it was for the future for my family. I am as passionate about this industry today as I was at the beginning and am so grateful of all our employees who work hard every day."

Sebastien Bourassa

President & CEO

Marcel’s son, Sebastien has worked at Savaria since he was a teenager, his humble start was installing stairlifts. Today, he is the President & CEO and travels the world to Savaria facilities to get direct feedback from employees on how to grow and improve.

"From our small start, to the worldwide reach we have today, I truly enjoy my work at Savaria. As I travel to see our operations around the world, I see the care that our employees put into their work because they know what we do makes a difference in peoples' lives."
