Freecurve Stairlift
Single tube design, custom curved
Our popular Freecurve stairlift is a single rail design, favored by many clients for its elegant look. The curve-hugging style works well for even narrow or spiral-style staircases with its optional 2-way power swivel that can turn as you go up or down, saving space. Glide smoothly around any curves and turns with the Freecurve. Also available is an active seat that gently raises and lowers to help you in and out of the chair.

This also allows you to see seat options and the rail – virtually on your staircase. All this happens before you place an order. We use the PS4D data to custom fabricate your stairlift in just a few weeks so you get a great fit, delivered quickly.

Standard features
- The stairlift is easy to use with a joystick built into the armrest for movement control
- A swivel and lock seat provides security to get on and off the lift at the top landing
- The seat, footrest, and arms fold up compactly when not in use
- Comes with two remote controls to call the lift, as needed, at the top or bottom of the stairs
- The Freecurve stairlift is battery powered with built-in top and bottom charging stations. You can use the stairlift several times during a power failure

2-way pivot swivel
For very narrow staircases, or tight spirals, the 2-way powered pivot swivel turn the chair automatically as it moves up and down. This provides room for your knees as the stairlift travels.
Power Swivel
A powered seat swivel (turns 80 degrees automatically at the top landing) for safer transfer on and off.
Power footrest
The footrest folds up with the touch of a button and includes LED lighting to improve visibility.
Power hinge
A power folding hinge is also available to keep the bottom rail out of the way when there is a door or entranceway nearby.
Active seat
Similar to a lift and recline chair, the Freecurve active seat gently raises you to standing position when seated, or lowers you slowly into a seated position from standing. The active seat can be added to the Elegance, or Alliance chairs. This option is not available in Quebec.
Parking
Add 90- or 180-degree parking so your chair travels around the stair railing at the top, bottom or both landings. This provides a more spacious and safe area to get on and off the lift.
Overrun
Add a top or bottom overrun to have the stairlift travel farther away from the landings for a more convenient on/off area.
Key
The standard unit includes keyed operation to control who uses the lift, but can be ordered as keyless.
5 Point harness
A five-point harness can be added for additional security on the chair in place of the retractable seat belt.
Choice of Seat
The Freecurve offers a choice of three seat designs.
- Alliance seat features beige seat with brown trim.
- Elegance seat is available in beige or brown.

Classic seat is available in beige or slate
- Petite seat: appropriate for smaller users, including youth.
The standard rail is cream, but you can optionally order the rail in grey or brown.

Safety features
- An obstacle sensor on the footrest and carriage stops the lift if it encounters an obstruction.
- The seat swivels and locks for safe deboarding at the top of the stairs.
- The footrest includes non-skid covering and the seat includes a retractable seat belt.
- An overspeed governor ensures that the lift does not travel too fast when descending.
- The stairlift includes keyed access to prevent use of the lift as needed.
