The Stairfriend 23 curved stairlift features a custom fabricated twin rail system for a great fit on your staircase. Configure the Stairfriend 23 for turns, curves and intermediate landings, as well as out-of-the-way parking. The Stairfriend 23 is known for its reliability and no-nonsense simplicity. Choose from two seats, with a 300 lb standard capacity and option for up to a 350 lb.

Custom for your stairs – fast

Fit that’s always spot-on

Using our proprietary PS4D photo-measuring system, your local dealer precisely measures your staircase for custom fit. The travel rail is fabricated in just a few weeks in our factory, and installation takes not more than one day. The stairlift installs directly onto your stairs, maximizing the clearance on the stairs to pass by when the stairlift is not in use.

A reliable, smooth ride is the hallmark of the Stairfriend 23 with its rack and pinion drive system. It’s battery powered with automatic charging stations at the top and bottom of the rail. During a power failure, the stairlift will provide several up and down trips

Additional Options

Parking

Add 90- or 180-degree parking so your chair travels around the stair railing at the top, bottom or both landings. This provides a more spacious and safe area to get on and off the lift.

Overrun

Add a top or bottom overrun to have the stairlift travel farther away from the landings for a more convenient on/off area.

Key

The standard lift includes keyed opportunity for security, but you can also order it as keyless.

Emergency Stop

Add an emergency stop bottom on the armrest (included in Quebec).

5 Point Harness

A five-point harness can be added for additional security on the chair in place of the retractable seat belt. You can upgrade to 350lb capacity.

Choice of Seat

The Stairfriend 23 offers a choice of two seat designs. The L seat is traditional look (arms width up to 21½"), whereas the V seat is more minimalist with open areas on the back and sides, which some find more comfortable due to its more spacious feel.

Safety features

An obstacle sensor on the footrest and carriage stops the lift if it encounters an obstruction.
The seat swivels and locks for safe deboarding at the top of the stairs.
The footrest includes non-skid covering and the seat includes a retractable seat belt.
An overspeed governor ensures that the lift does not travel too fast when descending.
The stairlift includes keyed access to prevent use of the lift as needed.
