K2 Plus Stairlift

High capacity stairlift for home and commercial use

Based on our popular K2 stairlift, the K2 Plus model offers up to a 400 lb capacity for home use. For commercial and public use, the K2 Plus is rated at 350 lb capacity. Built with a robust rail design, the K2 Plus is a strong lift that can still fold away compactly when not in use. Choose a standard seat, or the heavy-duty Plus seat (for the 400 lb capacity) that provides extra width between the arms.

A stairlift built for strength and stability

Reinforced rail with a stainless-steel gear rack provides the K2 Plus a smooth and stable ride. Using the optional Plus seat, with heavy-duty armrests, the K2 Plus handles a 400 lb capacity for home use, or 350 lb in public buildings.

Standard features and finish

You can control the stairlift with the toggle on the armrest
The lift features cream white powder coat paint and beige seat covering
A master shut-off switch allows you to turn off power if you are away for long periods of time to extend battery life
The armrests adjust width-wise (20–24 ¼" depending on the style of seat).
The seat, footrest, and arms fold up to keep the lift compact when not in use (13 ½" for L Seat, 14 ¾" for the Plus seat)
Comes with two RF (radio-frequency) remote controls which allow you to summon the lift up or down as needed
LED diagnostic lights provide information on issues with the lift*
The K2 Plus operates on battery power with built-in continuous charging along the rail. If there is a power failure, the stairlift will provide several up and down trips

Additional Options

Rail Extension Brackets

If you have a door near the top landing of your stairlift, rail extension brackets can be added to reduce the intrusion of the rail.

Manual Flip-up

A manual flip-up rail can be added to provide clearance if there is a door at the bottom landing*.

Emergency Stop

An emergency stop button can be added to the armrest for home use, and is included for commercial applications and in Quebec.

K2 Plus Seat Options

The K2 Plus offers a choice of two seat designs: the L seat (arms width up to 20") is a traditional chair for home use or commercial use up to 350 lb.

The Plus seat offers a higher capacity for home use (400 lb) as well as extra space on the seat, by adjusting the armrest width up to 24 ¼". Both seats feature wipe-clean beige vinyl and toggle switch on the armrest for movement control.

Safety features

An obstacle sensor on the footrest and carriage stops the lift if it encounters an obstruction.
The seat swivels and locks for safe deboarding at the top of the stairs.
The footrest includes non-skid covering and the seat includes a retractable seat belt.
An emergency stop button is included on the armrest for all commercial applications and in Quebec.

Many homes have a door or entrance at the bottom of the staircase. Adding a fold-up rail allows you to push the rail out of the way when the stairlift is not in use.
