This presentation is designed to provide an overview of home elevators for architects and builders.
Learning objectives
- Relate to the variety of applications for home elevators
- Identify common features and the four main types of elevator drive systems
- Analyze site requirements and project timelines
- Understand codes and regulations applicable to residential elevators
By the end of this session, participants should have a broad understanding of residential elevators and the increasing demand for mobility in the home. This presentation is an intermediate level AIA CES course.

"Guide to Home Elevators" is an AIA registered course and provides attendees with 1 HSW Learning Unit towards their CES learning credits. We, the passport provider, will report attendance and the credits will be visible in your account after 3 business days. When registering, you may request that a certificate of completion be sent to you after the course is finished.
